How often have you found your mind taking you on an undesired detour to negative part of your imagination? For many of us, we end up on this detour in a millisecond and then have a hard time reversing direction.
“I totally should have made a different choice…”“What if something is wrong with me?” “I can’t make that change…it’s just too overwhelming.” “I’m never going to get this right.”

If you have ever found yourself in one of these negative thought loops that are so hard to escape, let me share with you my new favorite mind hack to turn around your thinking.

Let me introduce you to my growth and positivity living wall. You know those beautiful green living walls that so many places are incorporating into their interior designs? People love them because they are beautiful, inspiring and provide a breath of fresh air (literally because plants clean the air we breath!).

When you find yourself in one of these dark corners of your mind, use this quick hack:

  1. Imagine a beautiful, green living wall appear in front of you
  2. Take a deep breath in for a count of 4 and breath out for a count of 4
  3. As you are breathing out, imagine the living wall having beautiful flowers beginning to open, bloom and smell wonderfully fragrant.
  4. Allow each new bloom to be a reminder of renewal, growth, opportunity and change for yourself. Let each flower be a new positive thought for yourself.
  5. Repeat the breath work for as many times as you feel you’d like
