Sharón Bacigalupi (founder of Turning Leaf Acupuncture) is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and the state of California Acupuncture Board. Sharón began her studies at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA and graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA where she obtained her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. Prior to attending NESA, she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Pre-Medical Studies and a Masters Degree in Public Health in San Diego, CA.
Sharón is a Fellow of the Acupuncture Board or Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) and extensively trained in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She continues to expand her expertise and has studied Balance Method Acupuncture with Dr Tan and Herbal Medicine with Master Herbalists Dr Tao Xie and Sharon Weizenberg. Her style of acupuncture is known to be very gentle and surprises even those who are initially fearful of the use of needles. Sharón’s wide array of treatment styles allows her to treat each patient in a way that will be most suitable to improving their health.
Having a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Sharón has the unique ability to integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine with her understanding of social and lifestyle implications, which often affect a person’s health. This background allows her to better assist her patients in achieving and maintaining their ultimate health goals.
After 4 years of intensive study, completion of her Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine and national licensing exams, Sharón established Turning Leaf Acupuncture, creating a clinic where her patients would receive quality care from compassionate and dedicated practitioners. In order to provide her patients with the best care, she continues to attend seminars on both eastern and western medicine so that she may stay informed of new advances and discoveries which may be of benefit to her patients.

Talia Silva Santisteban is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She is licensed through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Oregon Board of Medicine, California Acupuncture Board and the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
Talia has a background in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State University where her foundation of health and the human body began. She then went on to a comprehensive four-year graduate program to earn her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.
While in the Master’s program, Talia completed the Japanese Acupuncture curriculum and implements this gentle Meridian Therapy, Gua Sha, Cupping, Moxibustion and Herbal prescriptions into her practice. She utilizes different techniques and styles depending on the individual’s symptoms and constitution.
To continue to help people reach their optimal health, Talia became a 200 Hour Yoga Instructor. By working with people emotionally and physically, she is dedicated to promoting preventative care by encouraging patients to seek an active and healthy lifestyle, clean diet and integrative medicine.
Talia has a keen interest and education in pediatrics, women health, migraines, digestive disorders and car accident recoveries.
